We must keep our eyes of youth, seeing vision and search for new horizons. I worked as a post-doc for two years in industry before entering USDA in 1952 as a research scientist. Under various challenges of tobacco and health issues. I became research leader, national and international coordinator for various projects. After more than 200 scientific papers, 52 patents, twenty books, I retired from USDA in 1983 and devoted my efforts to international agricultural development, especially for China. At present, I serve as Collaborator for the National Program Staff, ARS,USDA. My wife, Margaret Lu, is a retired OTR. We married 60 years. Our daughter Dr. Elizabeth Tso, is one of the founders of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Md. Our son Dr. Paul Tso,is an organ transplant surgeon at the Emory University, Atlanta, Ga. Two grand children, Emily and Andrew. |
